Michael Tucci is the CEO and one of the founders of Energy Fitness. He graduated from Cornell University in 2002 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a concentration in Biomechanics. Wanting to combine his inner passion for fitness and wellness with his problem-solving engineering education, he decided to venture into the world of entrepreneurship and opened the first Energy Fitness on January 1, 2003. He saw a major problem in the fitness industry and knew there had to be a better solution. Michael is the visionary for Energy, ensuring that we constantly stay on the cutting edge of the industry and ahead of the competition. He doesn’t believe in fitness fads. He believes that the key to Energy’s success is and always will be the focus we have on building strong and lasting relationships with the Energy Team, Members and Franchisees. In other words, Mike’s job is to create one, big, happy Energy Fitness Family and to make sure that Energy is a company Built To Last!
All it took was a rickety old bench, a rusty pair of dumbbells and an Arnold Schwarzenegger picture on the wall to get Trevor hooked on fitness at the young age of 13. At the same time a passion for how and why people behave the way they do was developing and would eventually lead to a degree in Psychology at Stony Brook University. Toss in a ‘good eye’ for design and an aptitude for working with his hands and you have the perfect recipe for someone that thinks about the construction of a fitness center as being the true expression of the brand. Equally important is his ability to design a facility that touches on all the senses. Trevor’s goal is to make people feel like they truly have a second home at Energy.
As the son of two educators, and a lifelong athlete, Michael Fox found his second family at Energy Fitness in 2005. Upon graduating from the State University of New York at Geneseo, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Michael was inspired to find an opportunity that was going to satisfy him completely, not just financially. He wanted to show up every day to a motivational environment, and work closely in relationship with others to cause positive change by promoting a healthy lifestyle. As the Chief Operating Officer, Michael is charged with the responsibility of setting the standard for the Premiere Fitness Experience. He is a stickler for details, and he believes that perfection is achievable. As a result, he spends a great deal of time developing, refining and inspecting the tools and processes needed to ensure the satisfaction and consistent experience of the Energy Members, Team and Franchisees.
Michael enjoys spending time outside, is always up for some friendly competition, strives to adhere to a daily mediation practice, and is his silliest form of self when he’s hanging with his wife and two daughters.
